Procedure Remote Download

  1. Log in in the web application as fleet manager. Then select the fleet for which you want driver and/or vehicle data using Remote Download.

  2. Click on the link Start Remote Download. If this link is not visible, no data is available for remote download, or there are no vehicles suitable for remote download registered in the application.

  3. A File Download window appears asking; ‘Do you want to open or save this file?’ - Click the Open button.

  4. The application Remote Download opens. If you have a card reader connected to your PC and inserted the company card, the application will start running automatically after a few minutes with the authentication of the tachograph. This usually takes 5 to 15 minutes and max 60 minutes per vehicle, depending on the connection. Only one tachograph can be authenticated at a time. This is shown: drivers with their names and the vehicles with their registration, along with the date it was last downloaded. The only vehicles and drivers that are displayed are those who are online at that moment and are expected for their periodic Remote Download.

  5. Then the signed driver and vehicle data from the digital tachograph will be downloaded automatically.

  6. The program is only required to authenticate with the tachograph. Then the progress of the download is shown. If you close the application, downloading will continue normally.

  7. The data of the digital tachograph is automatically uploaded into the online portal after downloading. Finally, you will receive a message saying the download was successful.

  8. You have three ways to check your Remote Downloads online:
    1. The uploaded data is shown in the vehicle and driver file overview in the web application.
    2. The vehicles that are read by Remote Download are removed from the overview diagram.
    3. The section ‘Notifications’ in the module LIVE shows the results of the remote downloads.
