This step is only possible if the recommended scanner is connected to the PC and driver and software of the scanner CD is installed.

Can I use any kind of scanner for scanning tachograph discs?

No. To get a capture of data, a scanner is necessary that works with a black background and is able to capture (round) discs. The recommended scanner that has the necessary modifications is available in the web shop at our

Which tachograph discs should be used for optimal capture?

For reduction of manual effort with the post-editing as much as possible we recommend for an optimum scan result the usage of tacho-discs which are additionally developed for the automatic capture by scanner. (Look at recommended hardware at
